Abdo Development is committed to improving the retail environment
in the Dupont/Logan Historic district of Washington, DC. It believes
that active and diverse retail makes a community safer and healthier
for its citizens. Expanded retail creates jobs, provides needed
services and fosters community interaction.
Jim Abdo has worked with other developers, major retailers, directly
with the mayor's office and citizens' groups to improve the retail
climate of these neighborhoods. Mr. Abdo's vision is that of a
balanced retail community. One that includes smaller, unique, eclectic
businesses mixed with a limited number of national retail anchors. "I
would hate to see retail in these neighborhoods turn into what
exists in every suburban mall in America," says Abdo. "I
recognize, however, that certain anchors need to be in place before
other smaller retailers will follow and be successful."
Abdo
Development has brought these fine retailers to Washington, DC.
